Safe Ashore: The 1940 Armistice Day Storm

See the story of Lake Michigan's worst storm. This film explores the dive-sites of the Minch and Novadoc, along with cards and letters sent to the fishermen that rescued the sailors. Also included are tributes to Captain Allen, lost on the Davock (and his final note home written just two days before the storm), and Chief Engineer Reive, lost on the Anna C. Minch. The film also includes a special section on the rescue of the crew of the Sinaloa, and the grounding of the Frank J. Peterson.
